Moon Lake Elementary School is dedicated to continuing a tradition of excellence. Our vision is to create life-long learners who grow and become independent global citizens equipped with literacy and math skills necessary to succeed in the technological-advancing world. In partnership with families and community members, it is our goal to create learning experiences both inside and outside the classsroom.

Sitting in our playground area is a big Red Oak Tree that is known to be 220 years old. MoonLake students have been enjoying shade from this tree for several generations. Pictured are Cade Hawkins, Nathan Hudgins,

A Bit About Mrs. White

This is her 14th year of teaching and she is so excited to be at Moon Lake!
-
She last taught 5th and 6th grade in Madison Co.
-
She was born in California and has lived in over 7 different states, mostly on Navy bases.
-
Her dad, brother, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, grandpa, uncle, and nephew are currently serving or had a career in the military.

She graduated High School in 1997.
-
She received her degrees from Vassar College and Marymount University.

She has a Master's of Education in Elementary Education.

She has four children and lives right here in Mentone!

She plays guitar, ukulele, and flute and enjoys drawing and painting, making goofy videos with her kids, reading, hiking, biking, cooking, and gardening.

She is a recent survivor of a very rare bone cancer and relies on her strong faith to overcome life's challenges.

She had to wear a mask for almost an entire year, so she understands how you all feel now!

Mrs. White loves Math, Science, and Fitness and is our new 4th grade math, 6th grade Science, and school-based P.E. teacher!
